At SDR, we recover data from all types of removable media including: From
sparq disks and worm drives, to zip disks and floppy disks. We
have seen them all!
In most cases, you will only have to send us the media. There
is usually no need to send the drive: however it is best to verify
with your SDR representative before you ship. Our facilities are
equipped with not only today's newest drives but also many outdated
drives. To get more information, you can contact SDR 24 hours
a day or proceed with the shipping process.
Our Smart Media Recovery
Process
You can start the recovery process now and receive a job
tracking number by filling out our online evaluation form.
You will need to ship the media to our laboratory. We recommend
Express Post or TNT for your shipment. Remember that if
you need help, you can contact a representative 24 hours
a day.
When we first receive your smart media it is logged into our
tracking system if you have not already received a job number.
One of our helpful client services representatives will
contact you and verify any important information we may
need. You may also complete an evaluation form and include
it with your media. The smart media is then quickly sent into
the laboratory for evaluation.
Our engineers will then evaluate the smart media within 4
to 6 hours and create the best solution for your particular
situation. You will be sent a laboratory report and quotation
detailing the problems and failures found, the time needed
to recover the data, and the cost.
Once we receive your authorization to proceed, our technicians
will attempt to recover the critical target data from your
smart media. The recovered data is then transferred to a secure
media and taken through a quality control check to insure
validity. We offer conversion from smart media to a medium of choice.
Depending on the type of service you requested an average
recovery could take as little as 12 to 24 hours.
